Many of our horses have gone on to successful endurance careers after racing. Don't be led to believe all racehorses are "hot" or difficult to retrain for the trail. Each horse, even with the same elite breeding as another, has his own individual preferences. Some racehorses just don't have the interest to pull on the bit and race at highest speed on the flat oval track, and prefer a more relaxed way of going. That is exactly why they can retire to be perfect mounts for endurance. Coming off the track sound and fit and just the right age, they can be ready within a few months to excel in this sport.
